Description Kamudini Gazdikova 2016-03-22 10:01:12 UTC
Issue :

Hammer is missing functionality around config groups,

It should be able to:

- perform operations on config groups themselves: http://theforeman.org/api/apidoc/v2/config_groups.html

- manage associations between config groups and Puppet classes (outside of Puppet environments)

- manage associations between hosts and config groups

- manage associations between host groups and config groups

Failed.

Version Tested: Satellite-6.3 Snap 8

Commands for associating config groups with hosts and hostgroups are missing. It would be also good to add commands for incremental addition of puppetclasses to the config groups (hammer config-group [add|remove]-puppet-class ...)

CRUD actions work fine:

The commands for
# hammer config-group -h
Usage:
hammer config-group [OPTIONS] SUBCOMMAND [ARG] ...

Parameters:
 SUBCOMMAND subcommand
 [ARG] ... subcommand arguments

Subcommands:
 create Create a config group
 delete Delete a config group
 info Show a config group
 list List of config groups
 update Update a config group

Options:
 -h, --help print help

Thank you for your interest in Satellite 6. We have evaluated this request, and we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this, please feel free to contact Rich Jerrido or Bryan Kearney. Thank you.
