Doc Type: Bug Fix
Doc Text:
Previously, when merging a snapshot to a base RAW volume, the RAW volume was not refreshed. This meant that merging a snapshot that was extended to a RAW base volume when the virtual machine was not running on the SPM would fail. This update ensures that the VDSM refreshes the base volume as needed.

Comment 2 Kevin Alon Goldblatt 2017-01-30 09:51:51 UTC
Verified with the following code:
-------------------------------------------
ovirt-engine-4.1.1-0.0.master.20170126161333.git83fd7e0.el7.centos.noarch
vdsm-4.19.3-1.gitdfa4d67.el7.centos.x86_64

Verified with the following scenario:
------------------------------------------
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a VM with 1gb preallocated disk in a block-based domain.
2. Create a snapshot.
3. Extend the disk to 2gb.
4. Start the VM.
5. Delete the snapshot - successful
