Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ============================================================= glusterfs-3.8.4-3 How reproducible: ================= Always Steps to Reproduce: =================== 1.Have 2 node cluster with SSL enabled on 2.Have 1*2 volume 3.Fuse mount the volume 4.Stop the volume 5.Check the glusterd log in all cluster servers and volume mount log. Actual results: =============== Getting unnecessary INFO messages in glusterd log and mount log when mounted volume is stopped. Expected results: ================ i am not seeing any use of getting these messages when the volume is stopped. we should stop flooding these unnecessary messages. Additional info:
Hi, It confirms from above message every message is coming after 3 second , it will come when next time connect/disconnect happens. These are informational message to know about the connection status,i think in earlier release also should show this kind of message. This is not urgent so will update beyond 3.2.0. Regards Mohit Agrawal
This issue is not there in the 3.1.3 build and exist only in 3.2 build so setting the internal Whiteboard to 3.2.0
Hi, The message does not exist in 3.1.3 because it was introduced from the patch(http://review.gluster.org/#/c/14242/) in bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1333912).We can't remove these message because these messages are intended by customer to show the ssl connection status in logs. Regards Mohit Agrawal
upstream patch : https://review.gluster.org/16767
downstream patch : https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/101323/
BUILD: 3.8.4-26 Followed the steps mentioned on the ssl setup. When the volume is stopped not getting any info messages as mentioned in the bug. Hence marking the bz to verified
