You can now replace bricks for replicate type Gluster volumes and perform maintenance tasks from the Administration Portal. These tasks must be documented. Also, a warning should be added that users cannot remove a host from a cluster when there are bricks present on that node forming a volume. In a hyperconverged scenario, where there is a replica 3 Gluster volume, removing a brick from a volume is prevented and only replacing the brick is allowed. A link to the procedure for replacing a brick should be provided in the warning.
Moving back to the default assignee and NEW pending a decision about in which documentation set this information belongs.
Shouldn't this be in the Gluster docs?
Ken, Anjana, would a 'Replacing Gluster Bricks' procedure be in scope for the Gluster docs? Perhaps in 'Configuring Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization with Red Hat Gluster Storage'? If so, can we move this bug to the Gluster queue?
Hi Lucy, Moving this BZ to RHV-GLUSTER Config guide component. Regards, Anjana
