Description Sean O'Keeffe 2016-11-04 11:09:34 EDT
Description of problem:
After pkgs are updated the server needs to be rebooted/services restarted. I would be great if we report this data back to the katello server & be able to restart them using Remote Execution.
Comment 1 David Caplan 2016-11-08 13:44:14 EST
Ideally we would handle this by instructing Satellite to construct a job template for the applicable hosts that provides the instructions for restarting the affected services. The user then has the option of running the restart job against the list of content hosts either immediately or scheduled against a maintenance window.
Comment 2 Brad Buckingham 2016-11-08 14:30:47 EST
Updating owner/state based on upstream redmine.
Comment 3 Bryan Kearney 2016-11-08 16:03:23 EST
Upstream bug component is Hosts - Content
Comment 4 Bryan Kearney 2016-11-09 12:03:22 EST
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/17230 has been resolved.
