Description of problem:
VMRC fails with "The value of the property '$' is null or undefined, not a Functional object" in IE browser

Windows 7, IE11

How reproducible:
Very

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Manage VSphere (say vsphere55)
2. Navigate to Compute ==> Infrastructure ==> Virtual Machine ==> Select an Virtual Machine
3. Click on the VMRC icon

Actual results:
Throws Error in the IE browser.  Refer the screenshot for further information

Expected results:
Should open the vmrc console in new tab
