Josh, Where are things with this bug? Chris
I believe this was fixed from https://github.com/ManageIQ/manageiq-ui-service/pull/327 Switching language now triggers a full page reload which will update the translations in the left menu where it wasn't previously. It is already merged and backported, moving to POST.
Not fixed in 5.8.0.2-nightly.20170228141623_8710eed . Lot of left menu options remain untranslated.
This is actually due to the renaming of our menu items and the fact our new menu items dont have the translated string stored.
Closing this as not a bug, since the issue is that we don't yet have the translations.
Shveta, So looking at this BZ, I think there are 2 issues. Issue 1: this was the original issue about the menu not translating when changing the languages. This is fixed (can you verify)? Issue 2: the other issue is that there were some menu items that were still not translating, due to a lack of translation. Can you please create a new ticket for issue 2 for the Internationalization (sp?) component?
yes 1) is fixed . menu do gets translated when changed language. Opening a new bug for 2) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1431518
Fixed. Verified in 5.8.0.12-rc1.20170425180304_4f35996
