Comment 2 Sahid Ferdjaoui 2016-12-29 14:27:14 UTC
Based on comment from David it seems that the virtio-win needs a feature to announce its presence on the new network links since the hypervisor does not have the knowledge of the guest network configuration so some packets could be missed in case of vlan usage.

Couldn't be reasonable to ask maintainers of virtio-win to get more information on this VIRTIO_NET_F_GUEST_ANNOUNCE support ?

Yes,

I will do.

Regards,
Pierre-André.

Hi,

We don't have the support for VIRTIO_NET_F_GUEST_ANNOUNCE feature in our Windows drivers now.

Best regards,
Yan.
