## Description of problem:

When trying to upload a disk image via RHV gui, the action fails with the error:

Make sure ovirt-imageio-proxy service is installed and configured, and ovirt-engine's certificate is registered as a valid CA in the browser.

## Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

rhevm-4.0.6.3-0.1.el7ev.noarch
ovirt-imageio-common-0.3.0-0.el7ev.noarch
ovirt-imageio-proxy-0.4.0-0.el7ev.noarch
ovirt-imageio-proxy-setup-0.4.0-0.el7ev.noarch

## How reproducible:

Always

## Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import CA (from console client resources page)
2. Click 'disks' -> 'upload' -> start
3. choose an image to upload

## Actual results:

Upload fails with error message.

## Expected results:

Disk upload to succeed, or provide some more specific information as to what the problem is.

## Additional info:

- Customer has imported CA (from console client resources page)
- Customer has upgraded from 3.6
- Customer applied 3rd party certs, but they caused issues with Log Collector so were removed for now
- Customer verified 54323 is accessible from client (packets observed during the last test)

The last item (about being localhost) sounds like bug 1427037 which is fixed for 4.0.7.

Does current bug depend on bug 1449084 also for firefox (the version in el7, at least)? If not, I'd drop the Depends On.

Yes, the issue is only Chrome. But we officially support Chrome as a browser for the WebAdmin. So the issue is still crucial for 4.1.

I don't quite understand what's going on here in bugzilla.

This bug is MODIFIED. However, it depends on bug 1450293 which is in NEW, and the attached patch is part of ovirt-engine-4.1.2.2 (meaning it could perhaps be ON_QA for 4.1.2).

Daniel - can you please sort this out?

I'll move this bug back to NEW until bug 1450293 is solved (to cover upgrade flow as well).

Daniel, why is there any dep.? It can be tested with Firefox or older Chrome or use the workaround in Chrome.

The only issue left for this bug is using Chrome (see comment 14).
Moving the bz to ON_QA. Please verify using an older chrome (< 58), or using the workaround described at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1449084#c2

Comment 27 Natalie Gavrielov 2017-06-15 17:27:24 UTC
Verified, performed a image upload scenario using GUI.

Tested using:
- Firefox 52.1.1 (64-bit).
- Chrome 59.0.3071.86 (Official Build) (64-bit) with workaround
  (setting EnableCommonNameFallbackForLocalAnchors to true).

Builds:
ovirt-engine-4.2.0-0.0.master.20170606135217.gita02bf9d.el7.centos.noarch
ovirt-imageio-proxy-1.0.0-0.201706060741.git25ceb73.el7.centos.noarch
ovirt-imageio-common-1.0.0-0.201706060741.git25ceb73.el7.centos.noarch
