Description Sasha Smolyak 2017-04-04 10:39:17 UTC
Description of problem:
When shutting down compute nodes, get 404 error about resources connected to them in ceilometer/collector.log on undercloud

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
openstack-ceilometer-notification-8.0.1-1.el7ost.noarch
openstack-ceilometer-polling-8.0.1-1.el7ost.noarch
openstack-ceilometer-collector-8.0.1-1.el7ost.noarch
openstack-ceilometer-central-8.0.1-1.el7ost.noarch

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Deploy undercloud with enable_telemetry = True, enable_legacy_ceilometer_api = False
2. Restart ceilometer services on undercloud, observe the full list of resources in openstack metric resource list

3. Shut down a compute node openstack server stop <vmId>

4. Observe /var/log/ceilometer/collector.log on undercloud

Actual results:

Additional info:

Comment 1 Mehdi ABAAKOUK 2017-05-18 07:07:53 UTC
Fix will be part of Ceilometer 8.0.2 upstream release.

Comment 5 Sasha Smolyak 2017-08-31 09:03:38 UTC
No 404 error after restart. But We do have the errors on startup, before the first restart of the services. Is it a known issue? Do we have in our notes "Restart the services after first installation" or smth like that?
Anyway, verified.
