Description of problem:

running ssa on images shows the user as "system" and the owner is empty.

If the user is system than the owners should be the user that ran the scan.

I would think that scheduled scans should appear as admin:system and that manual started scans would be <user>:group>

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

cfme-5.8.0.9-alpha2.1.el7cf.x86_64

How reproducible:

100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add a container provider -> activate smart proxy
2. navigate to computes -> containers -> containers images -> select an image
3. press button configurations -> perform smartstate analysis
4. navigate to administrator -> tasks -> all vms and container analysis tasks

Actual results:

the user shown is system and owner is empty

Expected results:

these details are important when you do a manual scan and we should show the user that ran teh scan and the group that they belong to.

Mooli I think you looked into these and I don't remember if the conclusion was that this is expected or if we still had to close some gaps with the VMs part.

Hi Mooli!
We had the same BZ 1460754 ,https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1460754,
That Loic reply was 'Using "owner" is confusing here.. for Container Analysis, it can remain empty.'

On CFME 5.9 i saw that the Owner column removed from Tasks table at all.
What should i check on CFME 5.8 , did you changed anything with owner issue?

Please let me know what should i verify , and on which version?

Comment 11 Mooli Tayer 2017-11-16 08:51:15 UTC
in 5.8 according to loic's response the owner column can and should remain empty. in 5.9 since owner was removed it is not relevant anymore and checking the user column is enough. Hope that helps.

Verify on cfme 5.9.0.8
Create new user test1 , after perform SSA the user that shown on task table is "test1" as expected.
On CFME 5.8 according to loic's response the owner column can and should remain empty.
