There has been multiple discussions at Collectd Meetup on this topic. No solid outcome of how architecture should look like yet. PR will be created when there is an agreement in the community. Even if there is a PR, the target for this would be Collectd 6.0, which would be in 2020 timeframe. Thanks

Currently there is no coding work being done here. So if it makes sense we can close this now and reopen or keep pushing this out to 2020. :)
