Doesn't work on Xorg either, in logs i found:
"Could not open input accel '/dev/input/event9': Operation not permitted"
"Job stopped due to filter errors; please consult the error_log file for details."

Inklevel also doesn't sohw up, and this should be a ipp printer, so driverless, here it's trying to assign a driver. the printer is: HP LaserJet-Pro MFP125nw

I think I have the same, or related problem.

HP printer worked in fc25, fails (stops) after upgrade to fc26.

The printer is identified as:

hp:/usb/ENVY_5660_series?serial=TH58B8W0N506D2
HP Envy 5660 Series, hpcups 3.16.11

/var log messages shows:

I was unable to find an "error_log" file. Can someone tell me where to look?

There are a few bugs found by google for "prnt/backend/hp.c 913: ERROR: null print job", but nothing recent.

I'd try rolling back cups and/or hplib, but the python3 upgrade makes this very difficult.

This maybe a dup of 1440502

Hi,

would you mind re-installing your printers with hp-setup -r (when you have installed hplip-gui package), hp-setup and hp-plugin if it helps? You cannot setup driverless printing if printer doesn't support it (having IPP backend don't conclude you have driverless supported printer) - I didn't find any info about HP LaserJet Pro mfp m125nw supports driverless printing.

You can extract more info from 'journalctl -u cups.service' by default.

Comment 7 John Ellson 2017-04-24 15:34:26 UTC
No Luck. I Successfully removed, and reloaded printer, and downkoaded and installed latest driver from hp with hp-plugin.

Getting the same error:

Apr 24 11:24:53 ontap hp[20350]: prnt/backend/hp.c 913: ERROR: null print job total=0
