The version of subscription-manager in RHEL 6.9 started making use of the put action on /consumers/{consumer_id}/certificates to clear the certificates as part of the "subscription-manager refresh" command. This should be forwarded to the Candlepin server by the katello layer. This change to sub-man was by design.
Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/20291 from this bug Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/20291 has been resolved. Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/20291 has been resolved. I can propose for 6.2.z This has been verified on satellite-6.3.0-21.0.beta.el7sat.noarch * Verified that routing error is no longer showing up on Satellite server logs * Verified that 404 log message is also not showing up on hosts (6.9 and 7.4) Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
