Comment 2 Ryan Barry 2017-07-24 11:58:36 UTC
I can't reproduce this, Can you provide access to a test system, please? No RHVM access is needed -- just the RHVH host.

Comment 4 Ryan Barry 2017-07-25 02:15:16 UTC
Thanks -- I'll look on the morning

This should have nothing to do with hosted engine, and everything to do with the repos on the hosts, but a reproducer will help a lot

Comment 7 Ryan Barry 2017-07-27 00:12:19 UTC
I reproduced this with a normal RHVM instance and a yum repo.

However, this is not a new bug -- 0706 (for example) can also be updated to 0522 if that is the only package in the repo.

This can be solved with

Conflicts: redhat-virtualization-host-image-update-placeholder > ${release_version}

In the specfile for the image

Deferring to 4.1.5, since it's not a regression

Comment 9 Ryan Barry 2017-09-13 17:38:24 UTC
After some additional testing, this is an incomplete fix.

As long as older versions of RHVH which do not obsolete are present in the channel, the update presents anyway. We'll also need to make redhat-virtualization-host-image-update-placeholder obsolete for a complete fix.

Retargeting...

Cannot meet this issue.

Test version:
rhvh-4.2.0.5-0.20171207.0+1
cockpit-ovirt-dashboard-0.11.1-0.6.el7ev.noarch
imgbased-1.0.4-0.1.el7ev.noarch
ovirt-hosted-engine-ha-2.2.0-1.el7ev.noarch
ovirt-hosted-engine-setup-2.2.0-2.el7ev.noarch
rhvm-appliance-4.2-20171207.0.el7.noarch

Test steps:
1. Clean install rhvh-4.2.0.5-0.20171207.0+1
2. Login to Cockpit
3. Deploy HostedEngine step by step
4. Login to the engine to check the host status

Test result:
After step 4, engine don't display the "upgrade available" information with the latest RHVH build after deploying the HostedEngine successfully.

So, change this bug's status to verified.

Ryan, the field "Fixed in Version: redhat-virtualization-host-4.1-20170908.1" seems incorrect.

Could you confirm the correct one? Is this going to 4.1.z?

Thank you

Comment 20 Yihui Zhao 2018-04-24 03:24:59 UTC
This bug is fixed in rhvh-4.2.2.1-0.20180420.0

Moving to verified.
