Description of problem: Ironic improvements - Installation and update of firmware and BIOS versions
Is there a spec for this work we can track?
I have completed a spec for firmware update support in Ironic using Redfish: https://github.com/openstack/ironic-specs/blob/master/specs/approved/drac-firmware-update-spec.rst I plan to begin implementing it shortly.
*** Bug 1396289 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Moved to Tracking/OtherQA. No development or test required by Red Hat.

Chris, what's the latest status for this?
Changing needinfo to Richard Pioso who is handling this now from Dell side instead of Chris.
Ken, if we don't hear back I'm going to close wontfix. It's been open for years and with reduced capacity, we have to make decisions about what remains in the backlog.
Richard, do you have any update for this BZ?
This feature landed upstream during the Victoria release cycle. It is supported by the vendor independent redfish and Dell Technologies vendor idrac hardware types/drivers. Kurt Hey, is there a need for it to be backported to OSP 16.x?
This has landed upstream, and at present we don't have a case to backport to 16. Since no action appears necessary for Red Hat, I'm closing this item out. If this is in error, please feel free to re-open this BZ.
