Fixed In Version: samba-4.6.2-10.el7_4
Doc Type: Bug Fix
Doc Text:
Previously, the smbpasswd utility did not set the correct domain name for the Server Message Block (SMB) connection when changing the password for a local ser on a domain member. As a consequence, smbpasswd used the domain of the Domain Controller (DC) instead of the local SAM name. This update detects the local SAM name and now, users are able to change their passwords again.
