Scenarios are mentioned, but the procedure 'Unmanaging Cluster' contains a lot of links, which point to nowhere. E.g. 'See 2.2.1.1', 'See 2.2.1.3' and 'See 2.2.1.2'.

Moreover it will be great if the troubleshoot use links to 'Unmanaging Cluster' chapter. The same for installation steps, use link instead of description where the installations steps can be found. It will be easier for maintainability as the chapter number in other guide could change.

Hence moving back to assigned.

One more thing 'Unmanaging Cluster' must not contain the last step 'Reinstall Web Administration server and Storage node agents', because with that step it's not possible to expand cluster. Moreover all mentions about installing RHGSWA after this procedure doesn't makes sense as it's part of the procedure.

Comment 12 Lubos Trilety 2017-12-12 09:09:11 UTC
Another weak point of the 'Unmanaging Cluster' section is that step 'backup and delete data directories' and step 'backup and uninstall Etcd' are optional. But for scenarios, e.g. import cluster fail, the etcd information has to be removed. In other words etcd removal step is not optional. This should be properly described in the guide.

Also,
In scenario 2 :
Under Resolution

Sections which say " see Unmanaging Cluster section of this Guide" could be a direct link to that section

In the same section..
For installation instructions, see Chapter 3. Installing Web Administration in the Web Administration Quick Start Guide.

A direct link can be provided to access that section

Under Common Scenario
See Unmanaging Cluster section of this Guide --> can be a link pointing to this section.

Lubos,

I am copying this and other "unmanage cluster" related feedback to BZ 1517065 which covers the Cluster Expansion documentation. Any feedback related to Cluster Expansion or Unmanaging cluster content, you may add in that bug which is work in progress. Thanks!
