This is a reopening of bug 115843 (I couldn't work out how to re-open an
existing bug).

The maintainers have fixed the firmware loader for this module so it no longer
uses sys_open, etc.  I have tested this with kernel-2.6.10-1.770 and by
modifying only the kernel config, the module worked perfectly (assuming you have
the firmware in the appropriate place)

Can the Fedora kernel config be modified to include this module?

I'm not sure if it intentional or not, but 2.6.11-1.14_FC3 has got this module
included.
