This is a tracker for all the features needed for full support of the Q35 chipset. The Q35 machine should have the same features as the current I440FX in order to be able to switch to it as the default machine for new setups. Note the actual action item of making Q35 the default machine is not part of this tracker.

to clarify the scope: i440fx with seabios is the 4.3 default and still supported in 4.4. q35 with seabios is fully supported and the new default for newly created 4.4 clusters. q35 with UEFI or with UEFI/SecureBoot is a Tech Preview
