Yes, it's the Twitch (Hourly) tab:
http://steamspy.com/app/379430#tab-htwitch

The terminal says:
/usr/include/c++/8/bits/stl_vector.h:932: std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::reference std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::operator[](std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::size_type) [with _Tp = int; _Alloc = std::allocator<int>; std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::reference = int&; std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::size_type = long unsigned int]: Assertion '__builtin_expect(__n < this->size(), true)' failed.

The interesting part is - if you open the URL directly, it works. But if you click through the tabs on by one (left to right), it crashes reaching the Twitch Hourly tab.

I can reproduce this easily on a completely different hardware as well. It seems to be a generic issue.

Comment 20 Kamil Páral 2018-04-28 09:05:39 UTC
The reproducer is:
1. Open up http://steamspy.com/app/379430
2. Click through all the tabs on the right side, going from Owners to the right
3. Firefox crashes when displaying the Twitch Hourly graph

I have the same issue when opening https://www.swatch.com/fr_fr/store-locator#q=FRANCE (with javascript enabled)

Confirmed, that crashes my browser as well.

Comment 23 Kamil Páral 2018-04-30 09:37:59 UTC
When I tested vanilla firefox 59 from mozilla, it doesn't crash on reproducer in comment 20 and it does have problems to render page in comment 21, but only that single page goes blank ("crashes"), the browser keeps working in other tabs. So overall it behaves much better.

Comment 24 Kamil Páral 2018-04-30 09:48:25 UTC
Both of the crashes no longer occur with:

Similar problem has been detected:

Consistently crashes when trying to zoom in (double tap or clicking on + widget) https://www.splcenter.org/hate-map but doesn't crash zooming in google maps or open street map.

Also does not happen with Firefox nightly flatpak.

This crash is probably a duplicate of bug #1577277. You may want to try the update to firefox-60.0.1-3 which is linked there and will land in updates-testing today.

1. open firefox-wayland
2. close laptop to activate suspend
3. open laptop to resume from suspend
4. unlock desktop, come back to a firefox crash report screen (share this data with mozilla)

This happens with firefox-wayland on gnome3 running wayland, I do not know if the normal firefox version has the same problem

Similar problem has been detected:

Greetings.
I was using Firefox as usual:
1. Listening to the music (on "HTTPS://VK.COM": russian social network, -- through a Flash Player of "Adobe", Non-Free licensed);
2. Browsing some Web-Pages -- with JavaScript (some Belarussian news web-sites, local for my city).
And as I got around 5 tabs opened, -- all became non-responsive.

While it became so, -- the music -- continued to play!
Even more: when the audio-track finished, -- it continued, normally, -- as I set it to be a repeated one.

I clicked harsh over the tab, which -- I was thinking about as of a problematic one (the one with the news in it, as it was opened as one of the last ones)...
No result.

Opened a "System Monitor" utilite, through my fresh "Fedora-28-Workstation" (with "GNOME") installation.
Clicked the Firefox process -- to stop it.
The music -- continued to play.
Clicked the Firefox window: opened, all tabs -- visible, -- but -- no reaction, to mouse clicks, over the tabs...
...
Through the "System Monitor" -- finished the process.
Re-started; all -- works normal.

It was no freeze -- for all the system, -- but only to tab's browser; and (again), music -- worked fine (but -- no access to changing the tune, through that tab, -- as the tab switching and mouse clicking -- did nothing).

__
My hardware -- is quite power-ful:
* 3--4 Gigabytes of RAM,
* 2 cores of CPU (each -- of about 1.4--3 GigaHertz click-clock).
__

Such a freeze -- happens often to me: when many heavy tabs -- are opened...
But this time -- is quite unique: got a freeze -- on 5 (or so) tabs.

Before -- I got freezes with much more tabs opened!
(Though, that -- was not with "GNOME", -- but with: "KDE", "MATE"... Not sure.)
__

Thank you...

As a test to reproduce this bug, I tried to suspend and wake up my system two times. Both times Firefox on Wayland did not crash. So comment 88 is not completely true. However normally my system is way longer suspended than I now did for the tests. I'm pretty sure this only happens for Firefox for Wayland, not when I'm using Firefox for X. It's only since a few days that I started testing with Firefox on Wayland again, because I'm also hit by bug 1585393 (Firefox Wayland copy and paste is not working). I'm running Firefox now with Wayland debugging on. When a crash happens again, I will attach the debugging log.

Comment 90 Jan Vlug 2018-10-13 09:46:45 UTC
A crash happened again. But now only after the screen was locked. So no suspend. I will attach a Wayland debug log. I also notice that after unlocking the screens, the content of the Firefox window does not fit it's size. Also, sometimes the window is not maximized when I start Firefox again after a crash. While I always work in maximized Firefox windows.
I've also the impression that the Firefox window moves sometimes to the other screen after starting Firefox after a crash.

Screenshot of Firefox started again after crash

This screenshot shows how only a small part of the window frame is used for rendering content. This is how Firefox looks after I start it after a crash.

Screenshot after doubli click on title bar

This is a screenshot after I double clicked on the Firefox title bar after that it was started after a crash.

When I maximize the window again by double clicking on the title bar of this small Firefox window, Firefox works again as expected.

Note that I did not manually resize the unmaximed window to such a small window. This is apparently a result of the crash.

This bug also affects the X11 version of Firefox 62 and is not related to crashes. This is how my Firefox looks like every time I start it (and it crashes only very very seldomly and I don't use Wayland).

Similar problem has been detected:

I had just finished editing a file using Geany. I had been doing some development in c++ and building an executable.
At the moment of the failure, which is indicated by a jump to the login screen, all applications are closed on all
workspaces.
I was not actively doing anything when the failure occurred although there were several hours of activity editing, building
and testing a couple of small applications.
I have 8 workspaces, most with only a terminal open on them. There were three active ones. One with a couple of firefox
windows open, each with a number of tabs (many) - doing research on c++ and make. One with thunderbird email
client. One with several terminals plus dolphin file browser open.
There is also a second monitor with Geany open for editing c++ files in several tabs plus a tab open to edit a text file.

This problem is not new. I haven't seen an explicit pattern, but generally firefox is open with one or more windows, each
with at least several tabs.
The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA970a-ud3 with an AMD processor and 8GB of memory.
This problem has occurred from once every few days to several times of day. No particular pattern that I have detected.
Hope this helps. Would be interested in any feedback or suggestions.
Thanks

This message is a reminder that Fedora 28 is nearing its end of life.
On 2019-May-28 Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for

Fedora 28 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2019-05-28. Fedora 28 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
