Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in oVirt 4.2.1 release, it has been closed with a resolution of CURRENT RELEASE. The tag 'ovirt-engine-4.1.11.1' contains the 4.1 patch, moving to ON_QA. The bug is verified on rhv-release-4.1.11-1-001.noarch. The steps for reproducing: 1. Choose cluster/Edit/Optimization tab. Enable KSM 2. Mode 'Share memory pages across all available memory' is set. Result: on each active host cat sys/kernel/mm/ksm/merge_across_nodes = 1 3. Put active host in maintenance, change on cluster KSM mode to 'Share memory pages inside NUMA nodes'. Activate host Result: on each active host cat sys/kernel/mm/ksm/merge_across_nodes = 0. 4. Put active host in maintenance, change on cluster KSM mode to 'Share memory pages across all available memory'. Activate host Result: on each active host cat sys/kernel/mm/ksm/merge_across_nodes = 1.
