Always present also with 4.15.17-300.fc27.x86_64 Together with other continuous and various errors always attached to similar problems that are always incomplete to report for some strange reason!!!!!

Comment 16 xzj8b3 2018-04-23 17:24:25 UTC
Is it possible to understand what causes the problem from the latest bug reports? Given other errors are contaminated at least those useful I reported them in the hope that with the next kernel versions the problem can be solved!!!!!

Comment 17 xzj8b3 2018-04-24 13:08:55 UTC
can be resolved situation or I will be forced to migrate to other operating systems??? It would be really a shame as I find Fedora a very good sistema...ma due to bug I often have problems with both sopspensione and system hibernation!!!!!

Comment 18 Jason Tibbitts 2018-04-24 19:27:18 UTC
https://serverfault.com/questions/616485/e1000e-reset-adapter-unexpectedly-detected-hardware-unit-hang seems similar and includes a potential workaround. I tried to tell you this on IRC but you never responded to my messages and then disconnected while I was still providing information.

You are, of course, welcome to switch operating systems if that's what you want to do. This isn't just a Fedora issue, though, so unless you're switching to Windows I don't think it will help much.

Comment 19 xzj8b3 2018-04-24 19:34:53 UTC
I have not seen on IRC... and my intention to stay at Fedora that I like moltissimo....ma too many notifications really.... or disabled ABRT or too many everytime from Fedora 23....

But if I went back to Fedora it's because my hope was in a resolution and I abandoned it momentarily because 27 too many crashes initially!!!!!!

Tried also in the following ways, does not solve anything and seems to work even more to connect!!!!

Anyway it's not true other systems have problems with Intel drivers, Windows has solved them by maybe 2-3 versions ago...

Fedora while being a nice system has always the same problems since 22-23.... Network drivers that are nailed, problems with video card drivers, hibernate nails, hibernation never goes...

How does one to give reliability to a system never evolve!!!!

Initially after trying the 2 methods proposed gave me connection problems and it took us a long time to detect the network.... After a reboot and a nice cleaning with bleachbit I reported bios in defaulth reviewing some idle and enabling Network Stack.....

It would seem that the problem is almost not present, we will see in time!!!!!

The recommended tea methods work, not in immediacy but in time the problem seems to not show up anymore and we'll see how it will behave at the first upgrade of the kernel..... for now no notification about the problem, really thank you!!!!

Description of problem:
This message has happened a few times now, so I expect it will continue.
I think it started happening soon after the upgrade to kernel v4.16, i.e. it is a regression.

On this occaision, it must have happened while I was using the wired ethernet.
(Possibly other times it happened despite not using the wired ethernet, but I'm not sure).

Fedora 28 performed a clean installation on LVM2 PV

The problem never occurred until the TLP-RDW TLP module was installed is to generate the problem, the next reboot immediately appeared!!!!

Comment 29 xzj8b3 2018-05-02 23:08:17 UTC
Reported problem, if some good soul knows how to delete TLP settings I recommend as well because you delete the form does not eliminate the problem!

Comment 30 xzj8b3 2018-05-03 16:05:00 UTC
I confirm what I saw

RedOne clean installation of Fedora 28 testing also btrfs TLP has not been installed..... There is no error or connection problems!!!!!!

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There are a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 27 kernel bugs.

Fedora 27 has now been rebased to 4.17.7-100.fc27. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 28, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 28.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Comment 34 Alan Jenkins 2018-07-28 13:30:17 UTC
I *seem* no longer to be suffering from this. Thanks, Linux!

I am unsubscribing myself rather than clearing the needinfo. Because the original report was for RealTek, not my Intel nic.

My last occurrence was with 4.16.14-300.fc28.x86_64. (That is, for e1000e, and bracketed by the messages others have mentioned.

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 27 kernel bugs.

Fedora 27 has now been rebased to 4.18.10-100.fc27. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 28 or Fedora 29, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 28 or 29.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Comment 36 Ben Cotton 2018-11-27 13:58:35 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 27 is nearing its end of life.
On 2018-Nov-30 Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for
Fedora 27. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases
that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as
EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '27'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 27 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 37 Ben Cotton 2018-11-30 23:17:18 UTC
Fedora 27 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2018-11-30. Fedora 27 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.

Comment 38 Red Hat Bugzilla 2023-09-14 04:26:01 UTC
