Description of problem: shogun cannot be installed. Apparently it is a package copied from F27 without being rebuilt for F28 and is missing libjson-c.so.2. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): shogun-6.0.0-5.fc27.x86_64 shogun-6.0.0-5.fc27.i686 R-shogun-6.0.0-5.fc27.x86_64 ... and bindings of shogun to other languages (java, lua, etc.) How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. dnf install R-shogun Actual results: dnf install shogun fails with the following output: Error: Problem: conflicting requests - nothing provides libjson-c.so.2 needed by shogun-6.0.0-5.fc27.i686 - nothing provides libjson-c.so.2()(64bit) needed by shogun-6.0.0-5.fc27.x86_64 dnf install R-shogun fails with the following output: Error: Problem: conflicting requests - nothing provides libjson-c.so.2()(64bit) needed by R-shogun-6.0.0-5.fc27.x86_64 ... and similar for other bindings. Expected results: Package is installed successfully. Additional info: This is similar to Bug 1575787 - R-preprocessCore fails to install (is linked against older libgfortran). Discovered initially for R-shogun, but quickly realized it affects all shogun packages.
