Description Mohan Boddu 2018-07-20 00:52:47 UTC
modem-manager-gui failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=28202533

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_29_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix modem-manager-gui at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
modem-manager-gui will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 30,
modem-manager-gui will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 4 Artur Frenszek-Iwicki 2018-07-20 08:34:10 UTC
Hm. It looks like some of the %build tasks are not taken into account when determining whether %build finished - I made a few scratch builds in koji and the result is different each time (platform that failed previously now succeeded, platform failed on a different file, et cetera). Adding a "sleep 10" at start of %install made the scratch build complete fine.

I'll report the issue upstream and try poking around myself to see if I can find anything sketchy. If I can't solve the issue in a few weeks, I'll commit the sleep-before-install thing as a workaround.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 29 development cycle.
Changing version to '29'.
