Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.4.12085.1 How reproducible: See Bug 1609248. Steps to Reproduce: 1. A colleague sets flag "needinfo?" in bug 1609248. 2. I receive an e-mail saying that bug 1609248 has poorly written title. 3. Open URL: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1609248 4. Click on "edit" at top of the page where the title is. 5. Change the title with more descriptive one. Actual results: The title that I see has changed. The flag at the bottom area of the page that I do not see has also changed. The flag "needinfo?" has been unset. Expected results: The title changes without and flag status remains the same.

The flag is checked by default for the target of the needinfo, as per the RFE in Bug 850909 personally I find it being checked by default annoying for similar reasons. Maybe it should be unchecked and when you click on the comment field to write a comment it should be auto checked? That way there is no extra click for people replying but if you are just triaging the bug it won't clear the need info.
OK
For the target of a needinfo the clear_needinfo field should only be set when the comment field gets focus.
The bug does not exist in Bugzilla 5.0.4-rh30.
