Hi,

We need a procedure that covers instances that were created with heat stacks. From customer feedback, it seems that the current procedure is not applicable here and won't work. 

Overall, the entire procedure seems to be sub-optimal. Creating a snapshot and destroying and recreating the instance seems like a hassle that many customers would prefer to avoid.

this bug was addressed by the official errata[1] and associated documentation[2].
