Description of problem: Same bug as 1581067, except with glib2-devel 2.56.3-1. Attempting to upgrade results in an error: Error: Transaction check error: file /usr/share/glib-2.0/codegen/__pycache__/config.cpython-36.opt-1.pyc conflicts between attempted installs of glib2-devel-2.56.3-1.fc28.i686 and glib2-devel-2.56.3-1.fc28.x86_64 file /usr/share/glib-2.0/codegen/__pycache__/config.cpython-36.pyc conflicts between attempted installs of glib2-devel-2.56.3-1.fc28.i686 and glib2-devel-2.56.3-1.fc28.x86_64 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.56.3-1 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. sudo dnf upgrade glib2-devel 2. Upgrade fails Actual results: Upgrade fails Expected results: Upgrade succeeds Additional info: The solution to the referenced bug was rebuilding the package. That might work here as well.
After double checking the referenced bug, I noticed the conflicting file was "codegen_main.cpython...," not "config.cypthon...," but that was the most similar bug I could find.
Copying Kalev (update's author according to Koji and rpm changelog). Kalev, this is very similar to bug 1581067 which you were able to fix quickly. Hopefully you can apply same fix for this new file as well. Thanks!
Grr, this just keeps coming back :) Hopefully fixed in glib2-2.56.3-2.fc28
