We have been able to get the deprecation that was merged in the community removed:  https://review.openstack.org/#/c/613150/

So, we should be able to work on getting this backported.

We are also working on getting fixes merged in the community for the driver:  https://review.openstack.org/#/c/624000/

Another patch https://review.openstack.org/#/c/561405/ which has been merged in the community, is also needed for backport.

Greetings, This driver merged in the Train timeframe (OSP16) and I don't believe this would be backported to an OSP13 release at this time. I think we can close it out if there are no objections as it is listed as an OtherQA item.
