Hello Remi, I can't update to the latest version of php-smbclient (1.0.0-1) as long as nextcloud is installed, I get this: Problem: package nextcloud-10.0.4-5.fc29.noarch requires php-pecl(smbclient) < 1.0, but none of the providers can be installed Another user reported the same on EPEL7 for both nextcloud and owncloud: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2018-c8f6744942#comment-879013 Obviously, many more things use the php stack than owncloud/nextcloud and given James Hogarth's lack of time, I'm not really sure what's the best course of action here. Personally, I've stopped using both of them, I just had nextcloud installed in a VM, but kept it disabled. This is more of a heads-up, in case you were not aware of the issue, rather than a request for a bugfix. I have a feeling that people will soon start complaining.
owncloud already have broken dep. (bug #1601689) nextcloud already have broken dep. (bug #1658730) Both package are outdated (owclound 9.1 vs 10.1, nextcloud 10.0 vs 15.0) About smbclient extension, there is no change between 0.9 and 1.0, only - PHP 7.3 compatibility (so mandatory in F30+) - API promoted to stable Please rather file bug against owncloud/nextcloud. (BTW, I won't push 1.0.0 to other stable branches)
Thanks Remi, I opened bug #1663672.
