Hello James, Having read your messages on devel, I know you do not have a lot of time to spare on this. I had originally filed the bug (bug #1663606) against php-smbclient, to notify Remi Collet of the situation. When trying to update php-smbclient on F29, I get this: Problem: package nextcloud-10.0.4-5.fc29.noarch requires php-pecl(smbclient) < 1.0, but none of the providers can be installed Apparently, according to comment https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2018-c8f6744942#comment-879013 this also affects owncloud. Remi has unpushed the update in the stable branches, but since F30 will ship with php 7.3, it is required there, so something should be done about it (at some point). All the best
I'll write up a Proposal to retire the Nextcloud RPM this week. It's unfortunate, but shipping none is better than shipping an EOL'd version, I reckon.
I don't know upstream's EOL policy, but the version of owncloud we carry (9.1.5) was released sometime in April of 2017 and it was not the latest in the 9.x series. Perhaps it should be retired as well.
> I'll write up a Proposal to retire the Nextcloud RPM this week. Big +1
