Created attachment 1520185 [details] last couple of dnf transactions Description of problem: Every time I log in, between one and three directories with gibberish two-character names are produced. The directories are empty and have my UID and GID (unsurprisingly). I've only noticed this happening the last few hours--it wasn't happening yesterday, and I dnf updated today. (I'll attach the last couple DNF transactions, just to aide any kind of educated guess about what might be causing this.) I've been trying to use audit to figure out what process is actually creating these files, but I haven't been able to sort it out; any hints for an appropriate rule (or a better way of tracking this down) would be helpful. Notably, I'm not the only person having this problem; there's some discussion on the fedora reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/aexdoa/weird_folder_in_my_home/ Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): no/unknown component How reproducible: every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. log in Actual results: random directories are generated. Expected results: directory contents are unchanged. Additional info:
Same problem since yesterday evening.
Same here, but I usually just get one directory each boot/login. Sometimes it does have more than 2 character and the first time I noticed the problem it was just '?'. It just started happening today on both my desktop and laptop.
