I am trying to cleanup EPEL7 packages that don't install and/or obsoleted. dragonegg requires specific a version and release of gcc This means that it needs to constantly be rebuilt, as the version of gcc is updated in RHEL7. There hasn't been a rebuild of dragonegg in over 3 years in EPEL7, and thus, it hasn't been installable for over three years. The long term maintenance of dragonegg is very hard. I believe dragonegg should be removed from EPEL7. Please respond to this bug, letting us know if you feel this package should be in EPEL7, or not. If you wish it removed, let us know and we can have a proven packager remove it from EPEL7. If you have not responded in two weeks, we will assume that you do not mind it being removed and will have a proven packager remove the package from EPEL7.
The last rebuild of dragonegg for epel7 didn't make it through bodhi before gcc was updated, and is thus, still in testing. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2018-2431df82d2 When/If this is removed, be sure to close that bodhi ticket. There are also two previous bugzilla's still open for this. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1288278 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1426682 Close those as well.
