python3-sphinx < 1:1.8 is no longer available. this prevents python-releases rebuild for Python 3.8. I suggest skipping the docs build if it really doesn't work with Sphinx > 1.7.
Please?
Jeremy, I saw you responding in other bugzillas, so I not starting a nonreponsive maintainer policy, but plese don't ignore this.
Hi, really sorry, I just missed it in the overwhelmingly large number of bugzilla emails I get. I packaged this so I could build the twine docs, but had to drop it because it was causing too much trouble. Upstream doesn't keep up with Sphinx and nothing else is depending on it according to my repoquery. I can drop the requirement in the RPM and patch the setup.py, but it's definitely not going to work. I've gone ahead and orphaned the package. Once again, really sorry to have missed this.
This still fails: + /usr/bin/python3 setup.py test Download error on https://pypi.org/simple/sphinx/: [Errno -2] Name or service not known -- Some packages may not be found! Couldn't find index page for 'sphinx' (maybe misspelled?) Download error on https://pypi.org/simple/: [Errno -2] Name or service not known -- Some packages may not be found! No local packages or working download links found for sphinx<1.8,>=1.3 error: Could not find suitable distribution for Requirement.parse('sphinx<1.8,>=1.3') error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.TJAtPu (%check) Maybe it would be better to retire the package?
I'm fine with that. I've retired the package.
