Could we have an EPEL-8 build of perl-Sereal please? I realise that there are a bunch of dependencies that will need building unfortunately. I need this for perl-MCE, which in turn is needed by perl-Test-Perl-Critic.
That will need perl-Sereal-{Encoder,Decoder} that I maintain. I will add the two into EPEL 8.
csnappy build for playground got stuck <https://pagure.io/releng/issue/8788>. I'd like get it resolved before continuing to have epel8 and playground on par.
It's OK, there's no rush. I'm going to need perl-PPIx-Regexp and perl-PPIx-QuoteLike before I can do perl-Perl-Critic anyway, and they depend on perl-PPI which is in testing but would require a lot of buildroot overrides to build against at the moment, which is why I haven't requested them yet.
csnappy resolved. Now we miss libzstd-devel (bug #1743983) in epel8-playground.
Both perl-Sereal-Decoder and perl-Sereal-Encoder are built, overriden into build root and submitted into testing. You are free to build perl-Sereal.
You're not going to do that yourself? It is your package after all... Thanks by the way!
I thought it's Denies'. Then, I will do that.

Are these packages still on QA?
(In reply to Denis Fateyev from comment #13) > Are these packages still on QA? No, they were pushed to stable back in October, as per the previous comment. I can see them here: https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/8/Everything/x86_64/Packages/p/
