Description Roy-Magne Mo 2005-12-21 09:56:57 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051216 Fedora/1.5-3 Firefox/1.5

Description of problem:
Installing gtk2-devel-2.8.9-1.1 fails to pull to in libXau-devel and libXdmcp-devel (via yum).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gtk2-devel-2.8.9-1.1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum install gtk2-devel
2.
3.

Actual Results: [root@localhost gaim-1.5.0]# /usr/bin/pkg-config --cflags gtk+-2.0
Package xau was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `xau.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'xau', required by 'X11', not found

Expected Results: [root@localhost gaim-1.5.0]# /usr/bin/pkg-config --cflags gtk+-2.0 -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/include -I/usr/include/atk-1.0 -I/usr/include/cairo -I/usr/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include

Comment 1 Matthias Clasen 2005-12-21 13:42:35 UTC
Thats a problem with libX11-devel, since the xau and xdmcp are private requirements.
