Please provide smokeping in EPEL8
Terje, can you take a look at this or assign it to another one of the smokeping co-maintainers? I don't think Jim can action it anymore under his Red Hat bugzilla account. https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-devel/2020-April/036740.html
I've had a look at this. I've managed to build smokeping on CentOS 8 (and it works well); However there are missing runtime dependencies which must be satisfied. perl-Config-Grammar perl-Net-Telnet perl-Path-Tiny perl-SNMP_Session perl-Unicode-UTF8 For building these packages are also required perl-Net-SNMP perl-Digest-SHA1 perl-ExtUtils-MakeMaker perl-IO-Tty perl-Net-OpenSSH And those packages have a number of dependencies of their own.
As of 2021-11-10 the missing packages are: No matching package to install: 'perl(Config::Grammar)' No matching package to install: 'perl(Net::Telnet)' so perl-Config-Grammar and perl-Net-Telnet need packages in EPEL-8
