## Description of problem After clicking an extension pinned to the overflow menu, the entire extension disappears and does not reappear until the browser is restarted. ## Software versions - Firefox 70.0.1 (64-bit) via "Firefox on Wayland" .desktop entry - Fedora 30 - GNOME 3.32.2 (2019-05-07, on Wayland) from /usr/share/gnome/gnome-version.xml ## How reproducible - open 'Firefox on Wayland' .desktop entry - ensure there is at least one extension installed with a toolbar icon, and that that it's pinned to the overflow menu - open the overflow menu and click on an extension icon ## Actual results - the extension window is not shown - the overflow menu disappears - the overflow menu no longer appears until the browser is restarted ## Expected results The correct behavior can be seen under X11: after being clicked on, the extension menu should be shown in place of the overflow menu, which should close. After this is dismissed, it should be possible to open the overflow menu again. ## Additional info Smells like https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1770897 which is another problem with extension windows. This bug is also a subset of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1690363 which was fixed but has reappeared in this form.
Jan, can you look at it please? Thanks.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 30 is nearing its end of life. Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 30 on 2020-05-26. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '30'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 30 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
