Hi, I'm just upgrade from Fedora Linux 34 Workstation to Fedora Linux 35 Workstation and found that Timeshift 20.03 (latest packages on repos) didn't work. From GUI it said that my system is running on Live USB and from the terminal it said failed to read partition layout. After read same problem reported on Timeshift Github repos, on my understanding it's because it's failed to read the result from `lsblk` (I believe on Fedora Linux 34 Workstation and Fedora Linux 35 Workstation have slightly different on showing the column of `MOUNTPOINTS`. Luckily on 21.09.1 this bugs already fixed. Source: https://github.com/teejee2008/timeshift/issues/753 I tried to build it from latest version on Github and the bug is gone (for requirement on vte I end up build it from Gitlab to get the latest version https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/vte ). I hope Timeshift will updated soon to version 21.09.1 especially on Fedora Linux 35 version and newer since I believe it's because the `lsblk` have different print result on `MOUNTPOINS` column.
+1 to Timeshift being broken on Fedora 35.
What do you think, is https://forum.endeavouros.com/t/help-timeshift-in-live-usb-mode-as-device-uuid-not-found/14914 helpful to consider as a work around strategy?
Since this has been fixed upstream, you don’t need to apply the changes that forum post mentions. Building from source works fine.

I confirm, building from source works fine. Source seems to be https://github.com/teejee2008/timeshift - and I had to only install some dependency libraries, incl. json-glib-devel vte291-devel libgee-devel and vala Thanks @Chase Lau
+1 here as well The version of Timeshift in the repos does not work on f35 and up, for the reasons being discussed here.
For anyone interested, I just slapped a build of the most recent Timeshift release on COPR: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/niohiani/MiscellanyMarketPlace/build/3010375/ Working fine on this end under Fedora 35. Very minimal changes to the spec file were needed (bumped version number, the patch in the spec from the repos is no longer needed, and the two config files are now in a timeshift directory under /etc).
Timeshift on Fedora is maintained? To date the problem has not been solved and there are no updates, users report problems.
Please update Timeshift on Fedora repo
