Request is to backport it to 16.1 (v4) so we have all parts for powerstore certification.

Comment 2 arkady kanevsky 2020-12-07 19:46:32 UTC
Brian,
can you, please, review it upstream so we can backport it for z4?
We will only be able to backport upstream to Ussuri when the driver was introduced for powerstore.

Comment 4 Brian Rosmaita 2020-12-14 19:28:14 UTC
The upstream gerrit review shows the Dell third-party CI passing with CHAP enabled, as can be seen in this log:
http://publiclogs.emc.com/34/759234/4/check/DellEMC_PowerStore_iSCSI/f2ea8bc/DellEMC_PowerStore_iSCSI/177/logs/screen-c-vol.txt.gz

That was my only concern with the patch, and it's been resolved, so +2 from me.

Comment 5 arkady kanevsky 2020-12-14 19:32:37 UTC
Thanks Brian.
Once it lands in master we can try to backport it to Ussuri.
Still expect it lands in z4.

Arkady,

Based on what I read in an email thread, let's get confirmation you need this in 16.1.5, which is scheduled *after* 16.2 is released. Perhaps we could retarget this for 16.2?

Comment 7 arkady kanevsky 2021-02-15 19:07:04 UTC
z5 is fine.
I saw that it was backported to Victoria https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/cinder/+/767299

It cannot be ported any further back since powerstore driver started from Victoria.
