Description of problem: This issue is not for a bug. To enable a metric from ACM 2.2 Visual Web Terminal (visual_web_terminal_sessions_total) for OCP monitoring telemetry, we need to open a PR against the openshift/cluster-monitoring-operator manifest allowlist. The monitoring team's process, though, requires that the PR be associated with a Bugzilla issue number. (We are not sure if an ACM Bugzilla issue will work with their PR automation, but they suggested to try this first.) This work is being tracked under our ACM Github issue https://github.com/open-cluster-management/backlog/issues/8215 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Since ACM 2.2 will support an OCP hub cluster on version 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7, we would like this metric to be included (and back-ported as necessary to z-stream releases where possible. How reproducible: N/A Steps to Reproduce: n/A 1. 2. 3. Actual results: N/A Expected results: N/A Additional info: N/A
The openshift/cluster-monitoring-operator PR bot did not seem to like an ACM Bugzilla issue, so will continue to work with the OCP monitoring team on this.
Created attachment 1751556 [details] visual_web_terminal_sessions_total
Created attachment 1752741 [details] result for visual_web_terminal_sessions_total change that "Moment" field to a time point in the past instead of right now, could see the history result
@lserven and @juzhao we have verified today that one of our test clusters on OCP 4.7 FC5 with a recent ACM 2.2 build got this metric through via telemetry. Given that, can we now close this one as being complete or are there any more steps to complete?
based on Comment 12 - Comment 13, set it to VERIFIED
@lserven and @juzhao Now that status is VERIFIED, is it OK to close this one?
