This bug is part of the non-responsive maintainer procedure for xaeth, following https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Policy_for_nonresponsive_package_maintainers/. Please respond if you are still active in Fedora and want to maintain python-augeas.

@François: Did you file a FESCo issue? I need python3-augeas in EPEL 7 soon-ish (for certbot) so having an active augeas maintainer would be helpful :-)
Latest version in Fedora: 0.5.0 https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-augeas Latest upstream release: 1.1 https://pypi.org/project/python-augeas/
@Felix: I've just done it, thanks for the reminder! https://pagure.io/fesco/issue/2628
Happy to add @fdc as maintainer.. sorry about not being active lately.. everytime i had time to work on things i ran into issues. i should have replied to the tickets. f33-rawhide have updated builds. Three are a lot of changes for epel7.. has anyone tested or prep'd the changes?
Thanks Greg!!! I cannot vouch the change for EPEL7 unfortunately. Felix, could you please have a look?
I'll be on vacation for ~ 2 weeks but I can certainly check afterwards. If you can please don't build anything for EPEL 7 (so we can roll back if necessary). Feel free to ping me just in case I forgot to reply after ~3 weeks. Thank you for your time.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 35 development cycle. Changing version to 35.
@Greg: I took your spec file for rawhide and ported it to EPEL 7. I think the jump for 0.5 -> 1.1.0 might be too big for EPEL 7 but I really would like to have a more recent augeas 1.1 for Python 3 as I'm not sure if certbot-apache is willing to keep the ancient version working in the future. Therefore my current plan is to submit python3-augeas (version 1.1) as a new review request for EPEL 7. Any comments/objections? François: Are you still interested in maintaining python-augeas? I think having more than one maintainer would be a good thing. And last but not least I guess we can close this issue as Greg is responsive again :-)
@Felix, thanks for the offer but I'm winding down the number of packages I maintain. Closing since Greg built the updated packages.
