RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Hi @ethanethan707 - It should be possible for you to re-open the previous bug you reference (1940018) if you feel this is the same issue. (At a minimum you should be able to comment on that bug and provide additional details and the issue could be re-opened.)

Currently this bug description does not provide enough detail to act upon this ticket. Can you provide further details to support the issue you are seeing? Thanks.

Yes , Anaconda crashes during Installation with an exit message of "Unknown error has occured" It happens when we check the " Connect to red hat insights (https://wwwsec.meile.biz/Austausch/RHEL/Insight_deaktivieren.png)" Two bugs were reported 1.Bug 1940018 - Connecting to Red Hat Insights failed.
2. Bug 1931069 - Allow to finish installation even when insights-client fails to register . The first bug is closed as CANTFIX as a temporary outage in cloud platform but the issue happens again. I attached the anaconda logs.

Is the above provided information enough?

Comment 7 jcrafts 2021-05-24 20:31:39 UTC
Are there any logs available in /var/log/insights-client for this system?

Comment 8 Greg McCullough 2021-06-01 16:49:51 UTC
Hi, we are again checking to see if there are any insights-client logs (/var/log/insights-client) that could be provided to help debug or reproduce this issue. Without additional information we will look to close this issue after 1 week. Thanks.

This BZ seems to be a duplicated of this one https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1924938
The fix is shipped in RHEL 8.5
