Description of problem:

Ran pup and downloaded latest updates which included 2.6.17-1.2318_FC6
kernel. System now panics at boot time (I'll attach the boot messages
I captured via serial console).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

2.6.17-1.2318_FC6

How reproducible:

every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to boot my FC6t1 partition

Expected results:

System comes up :-).

Additional info:

This may well be related to stuff that was happening with earlier kernels
that has simply gotten worse. See bug 196419.

I'm experiencing a panic also on the i686 kernel version mentioned.
