Please branch and build php-pecl-imagick in epel9.

Comment 1 Davide Cavalca 2022-01-19 22:02:11 UTC
Will you be able to branch and build php-pecl-imagick in epel9?
The EPEL Packaging SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer
if you do not wish to build it on epel9.

Comment 2 Remi Collet 2022-01-20 08:13:27 UTC
ImageMagick is not yet available in EPEL-9

Comment 3 Neal Gompa 2022-02-22 12:00:14 UTC

Would it be possible to also build this for the different PHP modules? PHP 8.0 is already EOL (including security support!) and therefore I'd rather use 8.1 or 8.2 which are available as module but fail to "switch-to" due to this imagick plugin.

Comment 8 Remi Collet 2024-02-28 06:56:15 UTC
> Would it be possible to also build this for the different PHP modules?

EPEL build system doesn't support modules.

Comment 9 David Auer 2024-02-29 13:06:41 UTC
That is unfortunate. Thanks for the quick reply!

I've posted some follow up questions on Discourse, in case someone is interested: https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/php-versions-and-modules-in-centos-stream-9/106678
