Description of problem: Please branch and build python3-kiwisolver in epel9.
You will have to find an EPEL packager to do that.
(In reply to Elliott Sales de Andrade from comment #1) > You will have to find an EPEL packager to do that. The package is pretty straightfoward to maintain, and I thought about volunteering, but I’ve decided to abstain for now. Anyone who chooses to take this on will also need to maintain python-cppy (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-cppy) as a dependency. Version 1.4.4 of python-kiwisolver requires python3dist(setuptools) >= 61.2, so (unless this lower-bound is arbitrary and can be removed) a slightly older version would have to be branched to EPEL9.
@quantum.analyst I'm happy to take this on. It's currently blocking python-pandas in EPEL9 which I own. FAS jonathanspw
I can help maintain this via the Python SIG. The setuptools requirement Ben noted above also applies to cppy. I've branched that and kiwisolver from their F36 spec files (which have a slightly older version) and built them for EPEL9.
