Description Orion Poplawski 2022-06-01 02:28:27 UTC
Please build mingw-libtiff for EPEL9. Needed by libgeotiff (and likely others). Thank you.

Comment 2 Orion Poplawski 2022-07-17 21:40:15 UTC
I've filled https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/mingw-libtiff/pull-request/1 to help with EPEL9 builds.

Comment 3 Michael Cronenworth 2022-07-18 12:41:43 UTC
I'm not sure what you're aiming to do with that pull request. MinGW packages build as noarch.

Comment 4 Michael Cronenworth 2022-07-18 12:47:55 UTC
It looks like the base MinGW packages are not available in EPEL9 yet. Please open bugs against mingw-filesystem and all of the packages listed in its readme file...

Comment 5 Orion Poplawski 2022-07-18 13:11:41 UTC
They are present in RHEL9, but only on x86_64.

Comment 7 Michael Cronenworth 2022-07-18 13:35:24 UTC
Looks like Red Hat is publishing MinGW now. They need to push the core packages to all arches.

I have a similar issue with wine-mono. Builds noarch but can only be built on a x86 or ARM host. I tried adding "ExcludeArch" but "Buildarch: noarch" picks any builder arch type. I thought I brought this up with releng or koji upstream but I don't see an issue in pagure.

Comment 8 Orion Poplawski 2022-07-18 21:39:12 UTC
Pretty sure you need to use ExclusiveArch - which is what I proprosed and it worked for me.

Comment 9 Ben Cotton 2022-08-09 13:38:55 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 37 development cycle.
Changing version to 37.

Comment 10 Orion Poplawski 2022-11-04 00:19:44 UTC
Any plans here? Waiting for RHEL 9.1?

Comment 11 Michael Cronenworth 2022-11-04 04:09:35 UTC
I don't have time to manage this package any longer. I'll gladly give you admin if you want it.

Comment 12 Orion Poplawski 2022-11-05 00:55:05 UTC
Thanks, you can give it to me.

Comment 13 Michael Cronenworth 2022-11-07 13:46:08 UTC
Done. Thanks!
