Description Karolina Surma 2022-07-08 13:32:34 UTC
Description of problem:
During the attempt to integrate Sphinx 5 with docutils 0.18.1 in Fedora Rawhide it was discovered that python-pydata-sphinx-theme requires Sphinx < 5.
The latest released version upstream (0.9.0) supports the newest Sphinx. I think it'd be best to update the package to the latest upstream version.
The current failure impacts other packages that rely on this theme to build docs:
python-ipyparallel
python-mplcursors
python-networkx

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.8.1-3

How reproducible:
Always

Comment 1 Jerry James 2022-07-08 16:31:35 UTC
I have an update to python-pydata-sphinx-theme ready, but it is waiting on the review of a new dependency, python-sphinx-design (bug 2099411). I will be mostly disconnected from the Internet for the next 8 to 10 days, so if that review completes, I invite anyone with provenpackager powers to proceed with the python-pydata-sphinx-theme update.
