Please branch and build python-re-assert in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain python-re-assert in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS music); please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-re-assert/adduser The python-re-assert package is required for some of the tests for python-aiohttp. The current Rawhide spec file appears to build for EPEL9 without any changes.
I'm on it: https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/48168 I'm adding you as well, as I'm the sole maintainer of this package.
Awesome; thanks!
This needs python-regex. It’s still using the “old” Python guidelines and macros, so I didn’t notice the missing runtime dependency. I’ll file another bug for python-regex…
You beat me to it. You surely know it, but just in case you don't, building the packages using ``` fedpkg mockbuild -- --postinstall ``` will force it installation in the mocked environment and catching any mlissing dependencies.

Actually, that’s new to me, and extremely convenient. I’m used to doing the install check manually. Thanks!
