Description Jens Petersen 2023-04-08 09:57:10 UTC
Description of problem:
Since Haskell shared libraries no longer live in system $libdir (ie /usr/lib64/lib)
but instead under /usr/lib64/ghc-9.2.6/lib, which is owned by ghc-compiler currently
if only shared libs are installed nothing owns this directory.

This also affects ghcX.Y :-(

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ghc-9.2.6-130.fc38

Actual results:
see eg bug 2185353

Additional info:
Admittedly only ghc-compiler currently links to the shared libs in Fedora.

Comment 1 Jens Petersen 2023-07-24 17:00:25 UTC
Moving ownership to the base library, starting with ghc9.6-9.6.2-10.fc39
